The problem
Your club doesn't need more hype about AI. It needs more hours.
Minutes to write up, renewals to chase, a newsletter overdue, accounts to explain to the committee, and members who want an answer today. Meanwhile someone in the office may already be pasting things into ChatGPT, and nobody is quite sure what.
AI can take a real share of that work. The hard part is knowing where to start, and doing it safely. That's what the report is for.
Papers and minutes
Rough notes into draft minutes and an action list, so the secretary gets an evening back after every meeting.
Renewals and enquiries
Renewal letters that give members reasons to stay, and same-day replies to people asking about joining.
Numbers the committee follows
A plain-English commentary on the monthly figures, so the finance item stops taking half the meeting.
Bar and catering margins
Menu costing, stock and wastage made visible, using the totals your tills already produce.
Fixtures and quiet slots
A first draft of the season's calendar, and a clear view of the tee times, courts or slots that sit empty.
The AI nobody signed off
A one-page AI policy and a "never paste" list, so the club gets the benefit with far less data protection risk.
On the course
The course is what members notice first. AI can help your greenkeepers protect it.
Your course manager and greenkeeping team already collect a lot of useful information: weather, soil moisture, spray records, machinery hours, photos from the morning walk. Most of it stays in notebooks and spreadsheets. AI can turn it into earlier decisions for the team and clearer news for members, without asking greenkeepers to become data analysts.
Disease and irrigation, a step ahead
Weather forecasts and soil-moisture readings, where you have them, read together so the team can act before conditions favour disease and water only where it's needed. That can mean less water, fewer chemicals and lower input costs.
Mowing around the tee sheet
A first draft of the week's mowing and labour plan built around tee-sheet demand, so jobs happen in quieter windows and fewer members play through work.
Photos into a problem list
Phone or drone photos turned into a short list of areas to look at, with the date and hole, so small issues are seen and logged before they grow. The greenkeeper still makes the call.
Course reports members actually read
The course manager's notes turned into friendly updates on course condition, closures and the reasons behind work. When members understand why, there tend to be fewer complaints at the bar.
Maintenance logs that stay up to date
Voice notes or quick entries turned into a tidy equipment log with service reminders, so breakdowns in peak season are less of a surprise.
Evidence for GEO and the committee
Water, energy, chemical and habitat records gathered into the evidence a sustainability programme such as GEO certification asks for, and a clear summary for the committee.
Every club's course and kit are different, so your report only suggests what fits the data and tools you already have. Your course manager stays in charge; AI does the paperwork around their judgement.

Experience first. AI inside.
I don't just advise on AI. I run a golf business with it.

I own and run Boomers and Swingers, a driving range at Astley, near Manchester. I pay for and use Claude, Gemini and Grok every day, and AI assistants now do a real share of my admin: sorting email for my approval, reading the accounts and forecasting the year, analysing sales against staffing, and checking contracts before renewal dates pass.
It won't replace the club manager. It will replace the worst hour of your week. Nothing goes out until I've approved it, and nothing goes in that I wouldn't pin on the clubhouse noticeboard.
So the ideas in your report are ones I'd use myself, written by someone with more than 20 years in golf operations who knows what a busy week at a club looks like.
More about meHow I work
AI drafts. I check. Your members' data stays out of it.
Reviewed by a person
AI helps with the research and first drafts. I review everything your club will rely on before it reaches you.
No member data
The questionnaire asks for nothing about your members or staff, and every prompt is written to work without personal details.
Rules before tools
A one-page AI policy and a "never paste" list come first, so everyone knows what stays out of AI tools.
Specialists where it matters
Anything legal, HR, safeguarding, health and safety, allergens or finance is flagged for a competent person to check.
Why it's free, and why it's limited
Six free reports a month, because I review every one
The free report is how clubs get to know me. I read every set of answers myself, so I can only take on six free reports each month. Once they've gone, the same report is available as a paid fast-track.

Free places go to clubs in the UK, Ireland and Europe where the manager, secretary, chair or owner fills this in, and the club wants to try at least one change in the next three months. The 20-minute walkthrough is optional.

£429 plus VAT
The same personally reviewed report, without waiting for a free place. Also the option for clubs outside Europe. If the free places have gone when you apply, I'll tell you before any work starts.
Who it's for, and who it isn't
Readiness matters more than size or budget
For clubs in any sport: golf, tennis, padel and racquet, cricket, rugby, football, hockey, bowls, sailing and yacht, leisure, country and city clubs. The report is organised around the key areas of running a club, so it stays tied to the real job, whatever your sport.
It works best when
- The manager, secretary or chair wants to try at least one change in the next few months
- Someone has a few hours a month to give it
- The committee is open to a trial, even a cautious one
- The club is willing to keep member data out until rules are in place
Size matters less than you'd think. Volunteer-run clubs can gain a lot, because time is so scarce.
It's probably not the right time if
- The club is in the middle of a crisis that needs all its attention
- Nobody has time to try anything new
- The hope is that AI will fix a deeper problem, such as falling membership, on its own
If that's you, keep the three tips and come back when the time is right.
Straight answers
The questions clubs ask before saying yes
Is our data safe?
The work starts with rules about what data stays out. Most of it needs no personal data at all, and the questionnaire asks for nothing about your members or staff. The only personal details it collects are yours, so I can send the report.
What will it cost?
The report is free, with no obligation. Monthly support depends on the level of help, from £199 a month plus VAT. Every price is on the How it works page. You'll know the cost before committing to anything.
Will staff accept it?
Staff usually welcome help with the jobs they like least. Involve them early, and be clear that the aim is to support them, not replace them.
What will the committee think?
Committees tend to respond well to small trials, clear rules and honest reporting. If yours is cautious or divided, the report suggests how to bring them with you first.
What if it doesn't work?
Then we'll know quickly, and you'll stop. A four-week trial of one job is a small risk. Where I think AI isn't worth it for your club, the report says so.
I'm not technical. Is that a problem?
No. If you can write an email to your chair, you can use AI. Every tip comes with a prompt you can copy and paste.
Shouldn't we wait until AI settles down?
The tools will keep changing. The skills you build now, like writing a good brief and checking the output, carry over to whatever comes next.
How long does it take, and who reads my answers?
About five minutes for the questionnaire, nearly all tick boxes. Your score and three tips appear as soon as you submit. I read your answers myself, and your report follows within 3 working days. The privacy notice explains exactly how your information is used.
Which clubs qualify for a free report?
Clubs in the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe, where the manager, secretary, chair or owner fills in the questionnaire, and the club wants to try at least one change in the next three months. The 20-minute walkthrough is optional. Clubs elsewhere can have the paid report (£429 plus VAT). If this month's six free places have gone, I'll tell you before any work starts.
